Features

Usually, Pro treks have more features than G-Shocks. The two brands are hardly equal when you get to the higher models in the 30-50k price range. But at any price tag below that, G-Shocks blow Pro Treks out of the water when it comes to features.

Triple Sensor

As the name suggests, Pro Treks are known for Triple Sensors which includes:

Digital Compass: build using the accelerator, magnetometer, gyroscope, and gravity of the device.

Altimeter / Barometer: which measures altitude.

Thermometer

If you desire an affordable triple sensor watch, Pro trek is your best choice. Model PRG-300CM-3DR is your best choice which is available at Ecasiocenter. If having an altimeter is not a must, the more affordable G-Shock GA-900-2A might be more up your alley.

GPS

Like triple sensors, Pro Treks are superior to G-Shocks if you’re looking for GPS then PRG-260-2DR is the most famous GPS model. If you want a GPS-enabled G-shock, then you will have to go for the expensive GW-9400-1DR that costs twice as much.

Pro Trek Hiking Features

There is one feature that most of the Pro Trek watches come with, called Trek Log Value Updating. When this feature is enabled, your watch will save and update various altitude measurements automatically.

This phenomenon includes High/Low altitude values and Cumulative altitude values. The watch will read these values if the “Trek Log Updating” feature is turned on, for up to 12 hours which is standard for Pro trek.

You will not find this Hiking feature in many G-Shocks, but it is present in a more limited form on G-Shock GW-9400- 1DR Rangeman. Pro Trek’s ability to keep auto-altitude measurements is an unchallenged benefit over G-Shocks.

Other Notable Features

Besides Triple Sensor and GPS, other notable features on Casio’s high-end watches include:

Tough Solar

Sunset/Sunrise times

Multi-Band 6 Atomic Time Sync

Tide & Moon graph

Low-temperature resistance

Hands-free backlight

World Time (multiple time zones)

Vibration alarm

Every digital watch made by Casio comes with a standard feature that are almost same across all models:

12/24h time

Alarm with snooze feature

Countdown timer

Stopwatch

led backlight.

Auto-calendar (Day, month, year)

Hourly time beep

Construction & Design

Size

G-Shocks are usually bigger than Pro Treks, except for budget-friendly models. I would not call Pro Treks small because they have their own wrist presence, but they appear to be slimmer and lighter than G-Shocks.

With a smaller wrist presence as compared to G-shocks Pro Trek is usually a finer choice if you want a dynamic watch that you can also wear in the work environment.

Ease of Use

Pro Trek features are more accessible as compared to G-Shock’s. That is because Pro Treks have dedicated buttons for compass, altimeter, and barometer functions. G-Shock, on the other side, is all about toughness, durability, and resistance, and usually has a mono push button to go through different modes.

Get yourself a Pro Trek if you prefer dedicated buttons for your features and go for G-Shock if you like toughness and greater wrist presence.

The Display

The diameter of the display is the most obvious difference between the Pro Trek and G-Shock watches.

Pro Trek’s display is big, round, and clear in almost any weather condition. Like all other features including the compass are more readable than on a G-Shock, which makes Pro Treks trekking friendly. Pro Treks are usually known for their digital screens, although analog & digital hybrid models are getting popular like the PRG-600-1DR, PRG-650-1DR, and PRW-6000 series.

G-Shock usually has multiple arrangements of smaller screens and smaller numerals than most Pro Trek watches, with G-Shock GPR-B1000D-1B Solar-Powered GPS being the only exception. Its smaller screens give G-Shock a tool-like, tactical, and rugged appearance, which are less prone to damage.

Unlike Pro Trek, G-Shock has several analog-digital hybrid models that are more readable than the only digital screens. G-Shock also comes in different shapes and sizes, including the retro square models.

I prefer G-Shock’s tool watch embodiment and a more military watch looks. And while G-Shocks have that nerdy feel about them, the Pro Treks look geekier.

Overall, Pro Trek looks like a techy trekking tool watch, while G-Shock looks like something that you would wear in the field or in an army. Which one is better? It just comes down to personal preference.

Toughness & Water Resistance

G-Shock is purposely built like a tank and is tougher than any Pro Trek watch ever made. All G-Shock models are Shock-resistant and 200meters Waterproof. This means that you can drop even the cheapest model off a ten-story building and nothing will happen to it.

Pro Trek is less water-resistant, only 100meters compared to G-shock’s 200.

As long as the durability is concerned, Pro Trek is a rugged outdoors watch. Obviously, it’s not as tough as a G-Shock and won’t stand against sudden drops or blows but it won’t break easily even if you use it in extreme situations outdoors.

Lastly, Pro Trek watch bezels are easier to scratch as compared to G-shocks.

In simple terms, Pro treks are more prone to wear and tear. It is not a deal-breaker for many but the ease of damaging only with minor scratches is something you should be aware of before buying Pro Treks.

Price

The cheapest Pro Trek is available for PKR 27k while you can find G-Shocks priced anywhere from PKR 12k to 300k depending on the model and the features.

Final Words

As much as I would like to suggest that there is an optimal choice to make between Pro Trek and G-Shock, there is not. It would be an understatement.

You should always decide with your budget in mind while evaluating the features with shape and size.

Casio G-Shock Watches & Casio Baby-G Watches

In April 1983, Casio released its first Casio G-Shock watch. The Casio G-Shock was designed to be dropped from the top of a building without breaking. This new G-Shock watch was unique in its design. While many manufacturers designed thinner and lighter watches, Casio had developed a bulky, shock-resistant watch. Casio had defined a new category of watches without a competitor in this type of niche product. Over the next ten years, these larger watches became fashionable and sought after worldwide. The solid nature of Casio’s G-Shock brand, coupled with increasing functionality, attracted sports enthusiasts, manual workers, and those on an adventurous streak.

The G-Shock range was becoming a Casio phenomenon. Subsequently, in 1994, a range of G-Shock watches for women was launched. Nicknamed the Baby-G, these women’s watches come in a range of feminine colors and display digital motifs in line with current trends. The other characteristics reflected those of the previous masculine lines; Shock and water resistant with a variety of digital functions.

Modern Casio G-Shock and Casio Baby-G watches come in either digital or analog format or even a combination of both. They have a set of features that generally includes:

– Water resistant to various degrees.

– Shock resistant

– stopwatch

– Countdown timer

– Alarms (per hour and up to 5 daily alarms)

– Automatic change of day / date

– World time

– EL backlight

In addition to these relatively standard features, the Casio G-Shock range has activity-specific timepieces that include functions directly aimed at that hobby. These additional special features may include:

– Tough Solar (solar powered watch charging)

– Wave Ceptor (automatic time correction by atomic clock)

– Barometer

– altimeter

– Digital compass

– thermometer

– Moon age display

– Yacht timer

– Tide graph display

– Mud resistant

– Electronic data memory (e-Data)

– Resistance to extreme temperatures

Constant innovation at Casio means that new advanced features are regularly added on new lines.

Casio G-Shock watches are most famous for their robust nature. Casio achieves this through the ingenious use of modern materials for the manufacture of watches such as titanium, rubber, resin and stainless steel. G-SHOCK watches generally consist of layers of these materials to ensure strength and shock resistance. Stainless steel and titanium bracelets use strong push-button deployment clasps for safety, and waterproof rubber or velcro straps are used on other models for added comfort. A hardened mineral watch crystal is recessed, as are the watch’s push buttons, reducing the chance of being struck, damaged, or broken. Inside the case, small springs and rubber pads are located around the watch module to absorb shock and protect movement. In addition to this, the movements of the Casio watch are guaranteed for 2 years from the date of purchase.

Despite the high build quality and smart design, Casio G-Shock watches are very affordable. These watches are well suited for those with an active lifestyle and the style of a G-Shock or Casio Baby-G watch makes a strong impression.

The large selection means that there will surely be a suitable G-Shock watch for everyone. A large number of G-Shock and Baby-G watches, as well as the Pro Trek range (with G-Shock technology) are available at ecasiocentre, as well as numerous other brands aimed at consumers with different needs. . .

GG-1000-1A3

The Casio G-Shock: Decades of Rough Duty

When did you last get a watch that was just a watch? If you have those assortments (obviously) and you’re willing to spend money, you can literally pay tens of thousands of dollars for a watch with hands, face and band … well, it’s not ‘Even tells time-you have to watch it (old joke but true). Why are all these watches so expensive? The answer includes a combination of marketing, well-known brands, brand awareness, and craftsman quality. So, if you spend thousands of dollars on a watch, are you willing to abuse it? Wear it in a clean and dirty place? Wet? Do you slam into the door frame or drive out (potentially) bad guys? What modern warriors need today is a reliable watch that not only provides time, but also other information that might be useful in unfriendly situations. Enter the Casio G Shock Master of the GG-1000-1A3.

In today’s market, there are several “standards” from which watches can be created to show their robustness and durability. There are criteria to measure:
Water resistance-usually indicates at what depth the watch seal breaks.
Impact resistance-often measured as a drop from a certain height, or as a foot-pound of pressure the watch case receives before something fails.

Scratch resistance – often stated in loose terms about what the crystal should withstand.
Another very common item that appears in clock descriptions is “accuracy to within X seconds per X time frame”, or “accuracy to within 1/10 second every 7 days”.

These are just a few specifications, are listed very often and seem to be competitive. There are also a number of other watch characteristics that are almost all purely subjective, such as style, size, band type, and color. Recently, it seems that brighter shades are better than blacks. (It seems to have changed when the uniform service was changed from a forest camouflage uniform to a desert color mix)
In today’s world, watches, whether flashlights or smartphones, are becoming increasingly versatile, not only to show connectivity to other devices, but also to enhance the convenience of the wearer. However, watches are no longer primarily watches, but remote control hubs for many other things that can be inconvenient for the wearer. In addition, there seems to be a direct correlation between how much time a watch displays (other than displaying time) and how robust (or not) a watch is. The more it is, the less robust it is.

Think a bit about what your watch really needs and how rugged the package will be for those needs. The watch tells you first and foremost that you need to display the time so that it can be displayed easily and easily. Digital watches can do this, but chronographs (watches with hands that point to hours and minutes) are usually more easily seen, depending on the lighting conditions and the lighting features built into the watch.

For those working in harsh environments, the two most commonly needed information is temperature and direction of travel. Some watches do more than display temperatures related to weather conditions, but local temperatures are usually the most necessary information to survive. Humidity and wind speed may be good to know, but neither is obviously as important as temperature. It is important to present it in a simplicity of information delivery and a basic no-frills way.
GG-1000-1A3
For decades, G-SHOCK is a name that has been esteemed for its rugged durability and reliability under adverse conditions. One of the new additions to the G-SHOCK line, the Master Of G GG-1000-1A3, provides all the properties and information expected from this respected line. The construction of the  casio GG-1000-1A3 is carefully designed to provide redundant protection for the case seal and promote long-term functioning of the button despite the acceptable environment for debris and watches.
The GG-1000-1A3 line has four different color combinations to easily display time, date, day of the week, compass direction, and temperature. Bright hands and markers also have LED backlights to improve visibility. The GG-1000-1A3 series continues to build a reputation for reliability and robustness that has made the G-SHOCK line very famous.

The advantages of Having a Casio G Shock Watch

When it comes to wearing a watch, none is more fashionable and durable than the Casio G-Shock. It is one of the most popular watches worn by men worldwide, and has everything you could expect from a Casio sports watch. Let’s take a few minutes to analyze some of the best features and benefits you can get when you buy this type of watch.

Benefits of using a G-Shock watch

While the GA-2000-1A9 G-Shock watch is a fashion accessory, this watch offers much more than style and the ability to keep time. These are some of its best features.

Water resistance: do you love swimming? If you are like most athletic men, there is a good chance that you will. One of the benefits of using a Casio G shock watch is that you don’t have to take your watch off before getting in the water and you run the risk of missing it, losing it or stealing it. It is water resistant to 200 meters, making it the perfect watch to go to the beach when surfing, swimming, water skiing or fishing.
Stopwatch: As an athletic and sporty man, eventually there will come a time when you will need a stopwatch. Whether to track the time spent pumping iron in the gym or to see how fast you can run around the block in the early hours of the morning before work, a G shock watch can help. You don’t have to go out and buy a new stopwatch, because this watch has a fantastic stopwatch function that you will love.

Shock resistant: The G-Shock was originally designed in the 1980s, when Casio engineers decided to turn the watch from a fragile piece of jewelry into a rugged and durable fashion accessory. The men’s G-Shock was developed with triple protection for its housing, parts and module, so it is not affected by sudden shocks and impacts. Today, you can take the clock in the lacrosse field, play basketball with it or leave it in a second floor window without worrying about damaging it.

Fashion and style: with a G-Shock watch, you no longer need to wear those ugly rubber sports watches in the gym or in the city. This watch offers you a modern solution that looks fantastic with almost any outfit that suits your sporting lifestyle.

Alarms: Time management is one of the keys to success for any adult, and the G Shock moon clock can help you with its high-tech alarms. There are multiple alarms available, with repetition so you can make sure you manage your time well and keep up with your busy lifestyle.

Are you looking for a watch that not only gives you the style you need, but is tough enough to keep up with your athletic life? Consider the Casio G-Shock. This watch has countless benefits and features, such as alarms, water resistance and shock resistance that will make it your new favorite watch.

We want them to be responsible for their actions, and to learn how to obey our rules. The right watch can do all this, and it can be easy to determine the most expensive watch available. However, there are some questions that need to be answered before choosing a watch, such as when to give it to your child, what is the best clock for vague play, and whether analogue or digital is better or not.

When you must provide hours for your children

The general rule is to start encouraging your children to wear an hour during the first or second grade. During this time they will already know their numbers and will learn how to know the time in analog and digital. If your child comes home and says he was learning the school hours, it is definitely time to watch your child.

When you give them their first hour, be sure to ask them to give you time. By doing so, you will encourage your child to use the skills they learn and give them a sense of pride when the time is right. Make a game, and ask them to watch when their favorite TV shows start every day, when it’s dinner, and anytime they get a snack before they have to sleep.

Analog or digital? Which is better for children?

Durable and reliable watches such as Casio G Shock watches are the best for children’s watches. They are strong enough to handle any harsh housing your children do without breaking, but they also come in different sizes and styles they will love. There’s even a group of G Shock, called Baby G’s, that your daughters will love.

But, how do you decide between analog and digital versions?

When kids start learning how to tell time in school, they do it with an analog clock. This is very important, because children who start with a digital clock may not make an effort to learn how to read analogue time. Throughout their lives, they may never be able to use a Casio G-Shock watch or an analog watch.

So, when you decide to choose your child’s first G Shock, go to her. Most mothers agree that this is the best start. Once they learn how to tell the time via the analog clock, you can then let them use a digital clock, in the style and colors of their choice.

If you are seriously considering buying a watch for your child, think long and hard about what kind of watch you want to give to him, when you should give it to him, and whether the watch should be analogue or digital. Casio G Shock is probably the best option, and always remember to start your kids watching analog. Later, as they get older and become accustomed to setting the time using an analog clock, they can choose whether they want an analog or digital clock.

Are G-Shock Watches Good? What’s Great and so forth

What is the benefit of G-Shocks and what are not good things? With over 330 species to choose from, what is the best Gshock anyway?

For this G-shock review, I will do my best to answer these questions without minimizing the words. We’ll take a broader look at the entire G-shock collection along with some specific recommendations so you can get a solid idea of what G-Shocks is about. In nut shocks, G-shocks feature rugged and affordable watches, and are designed to demand outdoor playgrounds and heavy-duty professional applications such as military, diving, and law enforcement.

On the other hand, the G-shock watches are neither subtle nor luxurious nor “smart.” They are ruthless utilitarian and some models can be ugly and bulky.

G Shock has become an iconic watch, famous for its unique resistance. They were first introduced to the world watch market in the early 1980s, and although they initially failed in the Japanese market, they were successful enough abroad to give their production an extended lifeline.

Their reputation for being extremely robust watches combined with their bold style has proven to be a success among the public and they have become extremely popular. For its time, shock G also represented a new approach for wristwatches that were still generally considered fragile items at that time.

The first was the Casio G-Shock GA-700CM-8A model number, launched in April 1983 and designed by Kikuo Ibe.

Its specifications were:

Sale price: 11,400 yen (tax excluded) High impact structure (shock resistance) 20 waterproof resin bands Screw resistant Stopwatch (1/100 seconds, a total of 60 minutes, rap, with alarm time elapsed) Timer (Combined unit: 1 minute, set for: 11 hours 59 minutes, measured in seconds), with the remaining alarm time Alarm time alarm Battery life of approximately seven years Automatic calendar Switch display system 12/24 hours

Mr. Ibe’s desire to create an unbreakable watch was partly motivated by a traumatic childhood experience. When he was a school boy, he had received a precious watch as a gift from his father, who accidentally dropped it and saw it shatter into pieces on the floor.

Working hard in his laboratory on the outskirts of Tokyo, Mr. Ibe creates new prototypes for constant testing: “Day after day, I would make prototypes and drop them from the window.”

Through a moment of inspiration, he finally came up with the idea of a “floating module configuration”, as a result of seeing a girl playing with a rubber ball in the park near where she lived.

The “floating module configuration” used a hollow section between the box and the movement as a way of providing shock absorption. By supporting the movement on a minimum number of points, the movement effectively floated.

This was further combined with damping for key parts. The use of this innovative type of technology was necessary because, as Casio says: “If we tried to absorb the impacts simply by wrapping the module with urethane resin or other similar materials, the case would grow in immense proportions.”

The glass and buttons were also enclosed in urethane to protect them from impacts, with the urethane protruding above the glass to protect it. Even the band has been designed to act as a shock absorber by using a special combination of urethane resin and scratch resistant. If the watch falls, the band also helps inhibit damage by using a 150 degree range of motion.

Triple Ten Development

Casio engineers established three guiding principles as part of their design strategy, called “triple ten” development, which consisted of trying to create a clock that could withstand a 10-meter drop, be water resistant to 10 bar and have a life 10 year battery life. .

The engineering team created more than 200 experimental prototypes and spent more than two years testing them before finally achieving their goal.

G Masters

As part of its subsequent development, Casio introduced high-end models that show new technologies for different activities and generally have special resistance qualities. These G Shock watches became known as the “G series masters.”

Identified by a suffix ‘man’ and with a water resistance of 200 meters, the first of them was the “Frogman”, also known as GA-700CM-8A, which was created taking into account divers, launched in 1993, is almost it sure is the longest g shock watch. . Other models such as the Gaussman were ISO certified antimagnetic.

Flagship watch

G shock has become Casio’s most iconic and best-selling watch and remains very popular with unique limited editions that add to its appeal and appeal.
