For the month of August, Casio has announced new releases which are following.
GM-2100 Series: The highly expected GM-2100 series has now indulged us with their new stainless-steel bezel which is introduced in the 2100 line. There have been four new models which have been released in the first event.
So, it’s time to Go sharp sleek, and bold with a G-SHOCK standard looking encased in a metal-clad octagonal housing with the original iconic design. Forged in SS with a circled hairline finish, the strong bezel screams super style all the way.
The dial has a fine finish for a meticulous metallic look that does just to a classic metal G-SHOCK watch. Gradual variations in meticulously detailed square dots on the wristband take casual ethyl-carbamate materials up a level.
This smaller metal-covered 2100 series has three models which are unisex. These three models are also anticipated to be released worldwide.
The GM-S2100 measures at 45.9 x 40.4 x 11 and weighs about 55 grams on the wrist, which is nothing as compared to other G-Shock models. It functions like the GM-2100. After comparing the GM-2100 and the resin model GMA-S2100, the latter has a new module and the day of the week (or date or time) which is displayed on the LCD display along with the seconds instead of an analog day of the week indicator.
The S Series is made for women which is housing the full shock resistance and 200-meter water resistance of their larger counterparts. This series is suitable for anyone who prefers a smaller watch, although the larger GM-2100 is regarded as mid-sized and not a big chunky G-Shock.
After the Boom of Smartwatches, the Gangster of the digital watch world The Casio G-Shock, the watch that is pioneering in so many ways, including its unmatched ultra-toughness, innovations in solar tech, Bluetooth connectivity, and electronic displays was sitting back but now has officially entered the race.
After six years of Apple Watch’s debut which astonished the public and after numerous inquiries for the G-Shock to add a smartwatch line to its formidable collection, Casio introduces the GSW-H1000 smartwatch, powered by Google’s Wear OS that comes packed with 200m of water resistance, activity tracker and other sensors.
Since the G-Squad collection is sports-inspired and the new GSW-H1000 G-Squad Pro looks every bit the chunky and robust G-Shock that we have come to wear anywhere and in every weather.
With Dimensions of 56.3mm around the watch, it is a hefty beast that has all the familiar G-Shock features. Designed to be put through the strides, the GSW-H1000 G-Squad Pro comes with an optical sensor to measure heart rate, as well as a compass, altitude/air pressure sensor, GPS functionality among others.
Casio presents this timepiece as vital to capturing all the essential data for physical training, laced with an intuitive touch-screen interface. It has a dual-layer display with an always-on LCD for time display, and another for the high-definition display of maps, sensor data, and more with color. Its user interface allows for customization to show different data indicators, as well as the options of watch faces.
The watch comes with a proprietary Casio app to help track workouts, featuring 15 activities and 24 indoor workout options to choose from that too in addition to the variety of existing Google apps and services. These apps are pre-loaded and available for downloads, such as notifications, messages and phone calls, weather forecasts, Google Fit, and Google Assistant.
To ensure smooth fitness tracking, data stored from your exercise sessions can be synced with the ‘G-Shock Move’ smartphone app. You can retrieve your activity history, analysis, and progress reports, as well as video and still images of those sessions from this app to create content, which you can then share anywhere on social media.
Casio has surely taken some time to develop their own smartwatch but let’s appreciate it due to its toughness and stability features for outdoor activities like any other G-shocks.
